First light, last light: wild moments in the Dolomites
Guided sunrise and sunset hikes from Ütia de Börz with coffee, aperitivo, and a whole lot of mountain soul
If you're the kind of traveler who wakes up for the first light—or stays out for the last—Ütia de Börz has something special for you this summer. We’re offering guided hikes at sunrise and sunset, designed for those who crave something more than the usual. These are not just walks—they’re moments of stillness, awe, and connection with the raw beauty of the Dolomites.
Sunrise Walk
silence, peaks and hot coffee
We start early. Really early. Before the world stirs, we lace up our boots and step into the blue hush of pre-dawn light. The trail winds gently from Ütia de Börz through the forest and up to a panoramic point—your front-row seat to the sunrise.
As the first rays break over the jagged skyline, you’ll be handed a hot tea or coffee, along with a small spread of homemade pastries. There’s something grounding about standing there, drink in hand, watching the mountains catch fire with light. It’s quiet. It’s real. And it’s worth every step.
Sunset Walk
Enrosadira and Aperitivo
Later in the day, when the light softens and the mountains begin to glow, we head out again—this time to chase the Enrosadira, that fleeting alpine phenomenon where the Dolomite cliffs turn deep pink, orange, and gold.
Our guide will lead you on a gentle walk to another spectacular lookout. There, with the last warmth of the day on your face, you’ll enjoy a local aperitivo: one drink per person, plus a rustic board of cured meats, cheeses, and mountain bread. Simple. Local. Honest.
It’s a moment to slow down and take it all in—the light, the silence, the wildness.
